Every customer is assigned a U.S. based project manager
that will serve as the point of contact or account
executive. You don't have to worry about dealing with
twelve different time zones, language barriers, and lack
of technical expertise. We translate all engineering
drawings in our Shanghai office for our Chinese vendors.
Source Selection
Choosing the right factory is a key step in the
outsourcing process.
We have surveyed over 400 factories and chosen 50
facilities that are in accordance with our selection
procedure. If we do not have a facility in our
network that meets your needs, we will perform the
following procedure to screen for potential sources:
- Selection Process:
- Research potential suppliers
- Call potential suppliers
- On-site visits to plants to inspect
facilities and evaluate operations / personnel
- Vendor Survey:
- Core Competency
- Facilities
- Equipment
- Personnel
- Quality System
- Housekeeping
- A formal report of the survey is submitted to
the China office along with the Quality survey,
approval and certification
- Competitive bidding between factories
- Selection of three or more qualified Chinese
manufacturers to provide quotes, pricing review and
analysis
Quality Assurance
International Smart Sourcing, Inc. has enhanced their
Quality Management System through the attainment of ISO
9001/2000 certification. The departure from ISO 9002 and
adoption of the new standard has brought along the
following benefits:
- Reduced number of standards and required
documentation based on eight universal quality
management principles as opposed to eighteen.
- Explicit requirements for achieving customer
satisfaction and continual improvement.
- Additional focus on the role of top management
in meeting customer requirements.
- Compatibility with other management systems such
as ISO 14000.
- Recognition that the word “product” applies to
the services and processed material required by
customers.
ISO 9001/2000 certification focuses on the whole flow of
activities (Macro approach) bringing about better
interaction between groups and the opportunity for
improvement. New techniques such as process mapping are
more procedure oriented in the overall performance
assessment of the quality management system.
Most of our vendors in China are ISO certified. If this
is a customer requirement we will only source from our
pool of certified factories. We take quality measures
very seriously and there are multiple checkpoints both
in China and in the United States.

Our Services
- Less than Container Load
Orders
If your parts do not fill a full container load
(40’, 40’HC or 45’), we will consolidate with
several other customer’s products to fill the
container and take advantage of the cost savings. We
then handle all importing requirements into the
United States, including clearing customs and paying
duties until the parts reach our warehouse.
Once the parts reach our warehouse in Farmingdale,
NY, you will instruct us on how to ship the products
to your domestic facility.
The transit time for ocean
freight from Shanghai to New York is about 30 – 33
days.
- Full Container Loads
We import full container loads for some customers
and ship direct to their facility. We currently ship
direct to California, New Jersey, New York, Florida
and Texas.
- Air Shipments
We offer air shipments for expedited shipping
through freight forwarders, UPS, DHL, FEDEX, etc.
Air freight will be quoted depending on the size and
weight of each cargo.
Insurance
- If any unexpected events occur
during transit (ex: inclement weather), we have full
insurance coverage on cargo and all products.
Experienced Staff
- We employ full time bi-lingual
managers in the United States and China who oversee
every step of the supply chain process from
production through delivery.
Cost Reduction
We provide savings ranging from 15-50%. The more
value-added labor involved in the manufacturing process,
the more cost savings for the customer.
Outsourcing your manufacturing also reduces overhead and
the need for start-up capital.

Electronic Manufacturing Services where there is more
value added labor involved in Printed Circuit Board
Assembly, Electronic Assembly and Cable and Wire Harness
Assembly.
We now also offer China Printing Services to save
customers on printing charges for catalogs, brochures,
calendars, etc. |
